Course objectives

Following the publication in May 2014 of the latest amendment to Royal Decree 335/2010, the document regulating the activities of Customs Representatives, by 2020 all freight forwarding companies and customs agencies must have their customs manager and/or legal representative accredited as a “Customs Representative.”

The resolution of July 21, 2016, issued by the President of the Spanish Tax Agency (AEAT) and published in the Official State Gazette (BOE) on July 28, announced the aptitude tests for certification as a Customs Representative. As established in Royal Decree 335/2010, these tests will be held every two years, with the final session scheduled for 2020.

From this date forward, it will be mandatory for companies wishing to carry out customs representation activities to have at least one individual with this accreditation, either as an administrator or as a staff member. This course is also highly recommended for all companies currently operating as Authorized Economic Operators (AEOs), given the changes introduced by the new Union Customs Code.

ATEIA OLTRA and the Valenciaport Foundation are organizing this exam preparation course, which uses a clear methodology designed to prepare students to successfully pass the exam. The course has a completely practical focus and is taught by leading specialists in each subject.

Students who have successfully completed our previous courses have benefited from exemption from the theoretical portion of the official exam. This recognition, beyond the knowledge gained, provides a distinct advantage over other applicants seeking accreditation as Customs Representatives.

Who it is aimed at

It is aimed at all those involved in foreign trade and logistics who are interested in obtaining this professional accreditation, but mainly at current customs managers and legal representatives of freight forwarding companies and customs agencies in our sector who have not yet been able to obtain it.
